ibooks ipad page numbers now showing

Summary:
No page numbers or progress showing in iBooks

Steps to Reproduce:
open any book. Tap to reveal page numbers on bottom bar

Expected Results:
page number and progress

Actual Results:
Just a line shows as in the image.

Regression:

Notes:
This was also present in iOS 8. Does this have something to do with the Swift programming book? I know there were serious issues with that book and highlights on iOS 8.
